Cotton Summary: September 26, 2017

 

Cotton futures turned higher in the session overnight due to continued weather concerns in West Texas. Cotton in this area is in the final stage of development,meaning the rain fore casted this week has Traders on the edge of their seats. 2 to 6 inches of rain is expected to fall in West Texas with the heavier fall expected in the far south of the region. Cooler temperatures between low 40’s and high 70’s are anticipated to follow the rainfall pattern this week. The US Crop Conditions reported 21% of the Texas crop is harvested and 45% of the crop is open. 57% of the bolls are now open in the US crop. The crop is now 14% harvested and rated 60% good- to-excellent
